The Challenge

Stories are important, and most stories are now consumed like fast food due to the pace of the modern world. Spending time deeply immersed in a world of imagination is becoming a long lost art. How do you incentivise children to read more and more books, when there is so much to distract them?

The Solution

To be a good writer, you need to read stories. And so alongside their library project, Acre Hall School developed a writing competition to get their juniors reading and writing.

The Heroes

Twenty pupils from Year 3 to Year 6 entered the competition, and all twenty stories are collected here, after being professionally revised, for you to enjoy!
